In fall 2023, new tenants will receive the keys to the newly designed premises on Zurich’s main promenade, where Swiss Life is currently restoring two historic properties.
In homage to the famous commercial building that once housed Manor, the new concept will offer retail space from the first floor onwards, revitalizing the famous shopping street, Bahnhofstrasse.
From the second floor upwards, attractive, modern office space will be created in an unbeatably central location.
The aim is to establish a real meeting point in Zurich’s city center. Originally built by the successful retailer Julius Brann, the building was an architectural pioneer in the early 1900s.
In reference to its roots, the client has named the renovation project “Swiss Life Brannhof“.
During the renovation, the original atriums and inner courtyards will be uncovered and all 438 stained glass windows by architect Otto March will be carefully restored. For the successful implementation of the complex large-scale construction project, Swiss Life commissioned b+p baurealizationwhich specializes in the management of demanding construction projects.
With the help of smino’s web application for the management of construction projects, successful projects such as the extension of the Kunsthaus and the restoration of the Villa Rosau in Zurich have already been realized.
smino’s digital platform centralizes all project-related information and connects all those involved in the construction.
The b+p baurealisation employees who use smino in their day-to-day work report the increased efficiency they have achieved thanks to smino’s automated protocols and task management.
They save valuable working time with smino.
The smino team was impressed when the senior site manager of the Swiss Life Brannhof, Sandro Commetti, gave them a tour of the construction site.
The building will not only honor the historic architecture, but also respect the environment. A new intelligent energy concept ensures synergy effects between cooling and heating requirements, which is worthy of the internationally recognized DGNB Silver sustainability label. The smino team would like to thank b+p baurealization for their collaboration on another outstanding construction and renovation management project!
