Rapperswil, August 16, 2023 smino AG, provider of the leading software solution for planning and construction projects, has launched ecoplot, a sustainable plotting service.
As a digital company, smino has always strived to inspire new customers to work with the digital platform and save paper in the process.
However, despite all the digitalization, printed construction plans are (still) indispensable in the construction industry.
In order to meet both customer needs and sustainability aspects, smino is launching Switzerland’s first sustainable plotting service under the name ecoplot. Focus on sustainability The new service places particular emphasis on sustainability.
At least 200 percent of every plot delivered is offset by investments in ecological projects such as reforestation.
To this end, smino works together with several non-profit organizations.
The donations not only offset paper consumption, but also sustainably protect the climate and the environment.
At ecoplot, the construction plans are also delivered by post in recyclable grass paper packaging.
The grass fiber is produced purely mechanically without chemical processing, causes around 95 percent less CO2 emissions, requires hardly any water and very little energy.
Swiss Post is already making deliveries in the cities of Bern and Zurich using only climate-friendly e-vehicles.
From 2030, the entire Swiss Post delivery fleet is to be powered by alternative drive systems, i.e. 100 percent electricity from renewable energy sources such as green electricity, as announced by Swiss Post in February. It’s not (yet) possible without paper Existing smino customers can print their construction plans and other documents directly from smino.
The process is designed by smino.
Sandor Balogh is delighted with the launch: “Of course, it would be nice if the construction industry were already completely paperless. However, we are aware that the reality is still different and that many companies in the construction industry have not yet completely done away with printing. This is precisely why we launched ecoplot – a genuine sustainable alternative to existing providers with a particularly simple process directly via the smino platform. Digital companies print with ecoplot.” Further information:To the products page
