The clearly structured smino digital platform enables all those involved in construction to work efficiently as a team in the realization of complex construction tasks in all planning areas.
PRESS RELEASE – Düsseldorf, 17.5.2022: smino is the digital solution for all partners who need to exchange information about their construction projects together, easily and quickly – from compact residential or commercial buildings to large-scale structural or civil engineering projects.
smino works so well because the platform was developed by construction experts and impresses with its clear structure and intuitive operation, which is limited to the essentials.
It therefore offers the best conditions for efficient collaboration in construction projects.
Since the beginning of 2022, smino has been represented in Germany with its own branch in Düsseldorf in addition to two locations in Switzerland.
smino Germany Country Manager and Managing Director Andreas Terhardt: “My aim is to show the many people in the construction industry in Germany that we can provide them with a tool with real added value with smino. Our platform offers the long overdue support that construction professionals need to overcome the many day-to-day challenges in projects – in what we believe is an unprecedentedly simple way!”
Because requirements and overall management are becoming increasingly complex in construction today, regardless of the size of the project, all those involved in construction need a productive solution for sharing information during planning and implementation.
Architect and construction manager Sandor Balogh developed and founded the digital platform smino together with experienced digitalization entrepreneur Silvio Beer to meet precisely these needs.
Their extensive expertise was incorporated into the Swiss quality solution and, with its clear structure and modular design, ensures order and control for all construction tasks in the conflicting areas of time pressure and accuracy, meetings and plan creation, as well as defect rectification and documentation.
This is achieved primarily through the automation of processes, continuous quality improvement and good traceability of all work steps.
The specialized team of developers knows from its own experience that construction projects can only be implemented optimally if they are carried out jointly and across disciplines.
The smino platform – the term comes from the Greek and means “swarm” – stands for end-to-end digital collaboration.
In Switzerland, smino is already the market leader, not least because of its integrated workflow; throughout the DACH region, the platform supports over 7,000 renowned customers in more than 4,500 projects with successful implementation.
smino was launched as a start-up in 2016 and has been developing successfully ever since.
Today, the company employs more than 40 people at its three locations in Rapperswil (CH), Zurich (CH) and the branch office in Düsseldorf (D), which opened at the beginning of 2022.
Complex tasks in the planning and construction process require ever greater specialization from all partners involved in the project.
This is because current construction projects are determined by diverse and complex processes.
The requirements for building technology, statics and fire protection in particular are now enormous.
Another major challenge is the range of software solutions that planners and contractors have to get to know and learn to use in their day-to-day work.
Many programs are self-contained or lack functioning interfaces for open and comprehensive data exchange.
smino connects all those involved in construction, their different needs and personal requirements and thus solves a variety of challenges in everyday work.
To maintain control and an overview within a construction project, smino provides easy-to-use, intuitively designed tools and structures the flood of information among all those working together on a construction project.
This primarily includes private and public clients, architects, technical planners and construction and general contractors.
During the development of smino, the requirements were precisely analyzed, evaluated and prioritized from planning to implementation and facility management.
The solution offers interfaces for the entire life cycle: this applies not only to the points of contact between planners and contractors, but also to the transfer of project data to facility management and ensuring the entire flow of information in the project.
smino licenses can therefore be used in every project phase.
As a tool for the present and future, smino is constantly being developed further and the range of modules is continuously being expanded – together with customers and based on practical experience.
smino will be at digitalBAU 2022 in Cologne from May 31 – June 2, 2022: Hall H5-2.119/10
smino is an up-and-coming PropTech scale-up from Switzerland and is revolutionizing the construction industry with the development of modern and digital tools.
smino is already the market leader in Switzerland and has also been represented in Germany at the Düsseldorf Oberkassel site since 2022.
smino was founded in 2016 by Sandor Balogh and Silvio Beer with the aim of providing the construction industry with a digital tool to overcome current and future challenges.
The successful implementation of a construction project and customer satisfaction are the top priorities.
The vision of a holistic platform for collaboration, information management and a general increase in efficiency became a reality with the market launch at Swissbau 2018 and has been driven forward ever since.
More than 40 employees are now doing everything they can to ensure that the numerous customers throughout the DACH region can concentrate on the essentials: Building.
Another outstanding feature of the smino team is its very close collaboration with customers and partners in order to lead the construction industry into the future together.
