They bear the not exactly affectionate nickname "dam walls" and are somewhat reminiscent of gigantic prefabricated buildings in East Germany: around 2,500 people live in the four elongated buildings of the large Telli housing estate in Aarau in a very confined space. Two of these rows of houses with a total of over 580 apartments are currently being completely renovated - one of the largest energy-efficient renovations in Switzerland. The central digital platform behind the mega project: smino. Hundreds of cars are parked in the parking lot, which was paved especially for the renovation period. Today, at 12 noon sharp, they should be able to drive back into the renovated underground parking garage. Florine Geiser, site manager at Drees und Sommer, has the situation fully under control: despite the imminent completion of the project, she makes plenty of time for us on this gloomy, cold winter's day. Since she has been working with smino, numerous tasks have been completed much more efficiently: "Before we used smino, all the documentation was always a big problem. Pictures taken with the smartphone had to be transferred to the PC first - that took a lot of time. In addition, things were sometimes forgotten or postponed simply because something wasn't properly documented," she explains.
